If you have never been here, this guide saves you time: what to bring, how walk-in care works and what happens at each point of the visit.

How walk-in care works

You do not need an appointment. You arrive, register and are seen in order of arrival, with priority for urgent problems. We are open seven days a week, 9 AM to 9 PM, Saturdays and Sundays included.

The quietest times are usually mid-morning on weekdays. Monday afternoons and weekends are the busiest.

What to bring

• Photo ID
• A list of the medication you take, with doses
• Vaccination card, if you have one
• Previous lab results, if you kept them
• The form you were asked for, if you are coming for a school, work or immigration exam

If you have no ID or no longer have your papers, come anyway: you will be seen and whatever can be resolved that day will be.

You do not need insurance

Patients are seen with and without insurance. If you have no coverage, you pay directly and the cost is given before starting, not at the end. Cash, debit and credit cards are accepted. Ask for the price of the visit and of each test separately, because they are different things.

What happens during the visit

First your vital signs are taken and the reason for the visit is reviewed. Then you see the clinic's medical team, who examine you, explain what they find and propose a plan. If lab work or an ultrasound is needed, it can often be done in the same visit. On the way out, you are given what was indicated and the instructions are explained to you.

Everything is explained in Spanish

That is the reason the clinic exists. You can describe a symptom however it comes out, ask twice if you did not understand, and ask for the instructions again. Nobody will rush you for it.

• What exactly do I have?
• What does this medication do and how many days do I take it?
• What sign means I should come back?
• When is my next check-up?
