The DOT physical is the medical requirement for driving a commercial vehicle with a CDL. At Clínica Hispana Nueva Salud Little York it is done walk-in and in Spanish, Monday through Sunday.
What is checked in the DOT exam?

What does the rule require?
According to the FMCSA medical requirements:

| Insulin-treated diabetes | Form MCSA-5870 completed by the physician treating the diabetes |
The DOT urine test is not a drug test. It measures sugar, protein and blood. DOT drug testing is a separate process with its own chain of custody.
What should I bring?
- Driver's license
- Glasses or hearing aids, if you use them: the test is done wearing them
- A medication list with doses
- If you have diabetes, high blood pressure or heart problems, your doctor's reports and recent values
- If you use CPAP for sleep apnea, the compliance report
How to arrive better prepared
- Avoid caffeine and hard exercise right before: they raise blood pressure
- If you take blood pressure medication, take it as usual that day
- Sleep well the night before
- If your pressure only rises at the clinic, say so: the reading can be repeated
Do I need an appointment or insurance?
