Men's Health in Houston: Prostate, PSA & Hormones

Prostate (PSA), hormone panel and urinary symptom evaluation in Spanish in Houston. Walk-in, no insurance needed, affordable pricing.

Men's health visits at Clínica Hispana Nueva Salud Little York are walk-in and in Spanish or English. The clinic's medical team reviews the prostate, urinary symptoms, hormone levels and the factors that matter most after 40: blood pressure, blood sugar and cholesterol.

What is checked in a men's health visit?

Medical history, physical exam and whichever tests fit your age and symptoms: prostate-specific antigen (PSA), hormone panel, general blood work and urine testing. If there is a risk of a sexually transmitted infection, the STD panel can be added.

  • Prostate evaluation and PSA
  • Full hormone panel
  • Urinary symptoms: weak stream, urgency, getting up at night
  • Blood pressure, blood sugar and cholesterol
  • Sexually transmitted infection testing

At what age should the prostate be checked?

The USPSTF places the PSA decision between ages 55 and 69, and recommends discussing it first, because it has both benefits and drawbacks. After 70 it is no longer recommended as routine screening. With a family history or symptoms, that conversation happens earlier.

Which urinary symptoms should not be ignored?

A weak or interrupted stream, getting up several times at night to urinate, the feeling of not emptying completely, sudden urgency or burning. Also blood in the urine or semen, which is looked at right away.

Do I need an appointment or insurance?

No. Walk-ins are seen Monday through Sunday, 9 AM to 9 PM, with no insurance required. Promotions include the complete men's exam for $89, the hormone panel for $200 and the full STD screening for $249.

How do I prepare?

  • For the hormone panel, a morning sample is better, when levels are highest
  • If glucose or cholesterol are ordered, ask whether you need to fast
  • Bring the list of medication you take, supplements included
  • If you have had a PSA before, bring the result so it can be compared

What about the results?

They are explained to you along with the plan. If something comes back abnormal, the clinic's medical team tells you the next step and hands you the report to take to a specialist if needed.
